Real things about me:
I will always be an amateur photographer because photography will always be a form of recreation in my life.
Stopping moments of time in a photograph is an amazing feeling.
I live for summer.
There is nothing better than walking barefoot in warm sand, whether at our nearby dunes or on a beach.
I do find pleasure in the May day that presents itself without hurricane force winds. The migrating birds are spectacular.
I love Madeleine L'Engle's books. My 6th grade teacher read aloud A Wrinkle in Time and it became my favorite book as a child. I've since read most of her books, written for children and adults; fiction and non-fiction.
I find it very difficult to part with a book I love.
I love the sound of children's giggles and laughter.
I love hearing words children make up; examples: "speedmometer" for speedometer. I guess mom is the only one needing to be wary of speeding. "I imn't" for I'm not, and "gotfor" for forgot. All put a smile on my face.
I love looking through old photos, especially of ancestors, and learning as much as I can about them.
I love spontaneous trips, especially to places I've never been.
I love time with family, yet I treasure a little time alone once in a while.
I realized how I love to be behind the lens, not in front of it. Photos of myself were hard to find.
